Thorn builds technology and community awareness to defend children from sexual abuse. Their newest product, Safer, is a cloud-based tool to report child sexual abuse material (CSAM), which is used by platforms that curate user-generated content.
As Thorn’s first public facing product, Safer needed to look the part. This small NGO from San Francisco needed something that could communicate legitimacy and place within the Silicon Valley tech community. The brand needed a unique identity that still lived under the umbrella of its parent company. The solution was a brand that is sensitive to the weight of the topic, communicates the functionality of the product, and gives a sense of hope.
